Before, during and after. It took me 10 months to get this bathroom reno completely done, but I’m so happy every time I see it.

This bathroom was a dumping ground for random things but it was in even worst shape than I thought. After removing the vanity I found a small leak in the plumbing and mold on the back wall.

Now this year’s “winter” project (which will probably take me until next Christmas😂) is to work on the rest of the basement.

Finally added the final touches to our hood vent cover and lighting over my open shelving. The sun makes the diy lime wash look a little spotty, but I love the look of it in person.

It took me 10 months, but the basement bathroom is 99.9% done 😆! I’m so excited to see this space come together, but full transparency my diy epoxy countertop did not turn out exactly as I wanted. I probably would have needed more practice using the material it’s ok from a far but if you look a little more closely it’s not perfect.

Almost 1 year ago I decided to make a quick update

Almost 1 year ago I decided to make a quick update to this door and I got so many questions on the material used and people questioning if it would last.

After almost 1 year I’m happy to report that the door is in the exact same condition as day 1 and I’m still so happy with the result.

Here’s the step by step of this DIY:

-Cut 1/4 inch hard board to desired size (I measured the door first and figured out how wide every piece had to be to cover the door)
-Wipe the door to make sure it’s clean
-Install each piece using construction adhesive
-Add weight to each piece and leave it over night for the glue to dry properly
-Paint and enjoy your “new” door
